Many small and mid-sized companies don't use any automated filter at all. In the vast majority of cases, a person makes the decision. And that person doesn't read your CV from top to bottom. They scan it in a few seconds, looking for one thing: whether you fit the role they need to fill.

If they don't find the answer quickly, they move on.

Anca spent 4 years in HR, working in recruitment, before moving into IT. So she knows what a career change looks like from both sides: as the recruiter reading the CV, and as someone who had to explain her own switch.
